Welcome to the Twisty Sisters
websitea haven for all women who ride, and especially
those who love riding in the twisties! The Twisty Sisters Riding
Club USA was organized by Britt Turner, owner of Two
Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort (TWO) to provide more opportunities
for women to enjoy the sport of motorcycling.
All annual Twisty Sisters Rally have been a huge success! The Rally
is held at Two
Wheels Only in beautiful Suches,
GA on Highway 60just south of Wolf Pen Gap Road (Highway
180). The rally is always the 3rd weekend in August. Mark your calendar
now!
Ladies came from all around the U.S.A. to visit for the day or
to camp for the weekend. Check out the TWO
site for complete information and pricing on rooms and camping.
Did I mention that both Britt and GT are gourmet chefs? The meals
at TWO are wonderful!
Below are just a few of the events from previous rallies:

Scott Masters, the head of the EMS
service at Northeast Georgia Health System, and David Westfall,
the District Public Health Director for the 13 county NE Georgia
region - including Union County, will be giving their First
on the Scene seminar again at the Twisty Sisters Rally
at TWO. They concentrated on the simple things that motorcyclists
can do to provide First Aid care to an injured motorcyclist
until professional help arrives. In addition, they discussed
some of the health related issues encountered by motorcyclists
in general. Click for more information.

Carol Youorski, a.k.a. Skert, has
traveled all over the USA showing both men and women that even
a very small woman can pick up a very large motorcycle! But
Carol doesnt just pick up motorcyclesshe rides!
In fact, she started her first Iron Butt Rally on her 50th birthday.
For more on Carol, check out her website Pink
Ribbon Rides.
JoAnna Murray

JoAnna Murray of Atlanta
Motorcycle Schools gave a safety seminar entitled Gorillas
in the Midst. The talk centered around the fact that
often we miss an obvious danger because we either are not
trained to look for that danger or we are focused on something
else. This explains not only why cars may fail to see a motorcycle,
but also why a motorcyclist may not recognize a potential
danger in front of them. The solution is to get as much training
as possible, read books and articles on riding strategies,
and continually evaluate (and move to) the best lane position
to see and be seen.
Above all, Ride Smart!

Charles W. Watwood, Jr., Motorcycle
Accident Injury Attorney, of Law
Bike presented some very interesting legal tips and advice.
One of the biggest problems that he sees in motorcycle accident
cases is lack of insurance or insufficient coverage amounts.
Even if the other person is at fault, if there is no money to
collect from insurance or personal assets, the motorcyclist
is left with bills but not money to pay them. Check your insurance
policy to see if you have uninsured and underinsured motorist
coverage. Raising your deductible will often fund the increase
in premiums.
She-Rides Active Wear Click photo to visit She Rides
Judy Mecham owns She-Rides Active
wearone of the very few womens only motorcycle apparel
shops. She was at the Rally discussing riding gear that is designed
specifically for women, whats new in womens gear,
and the benefits of good, protective gear. When Judy is not
giving seminars or setup at the race track during an AMA event,
you can find her working hard at She-Rides.
Please visit Judy and She-Rideslocated at Toosys

In a very special moment, Rikki and Craig presented Britt
and GT with a flag that Rikki flew in TWOs honor on
the day that Iraq was granted their freedom.
